1.0 BUILDING REQUIREMENTS 1.1 HEALTH AND SAFETY Below are details of the statutory regulations and minimum standards that are expected of landlord/persons responsible for the building. 1.1.1 Health Safety Risk Assessment – Annual Under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 (the HSW Act), you have to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the HS of yourself and ‘others’ who may be affected by what you do or do not do. It applies to all work activities and premises and everyone at work has responsibilities under it. Employees must take care of their own HS and that of others who may be affected by their actions at work. They must also co-operate with employers and co-workers to help everyone meet their legal requirements. The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 also apply to every work activity and workplace and require all risks to be assessed and, where necessary, controlled. WP would advise to air on the side of caution for minimal cost in the absence of clear regulation; LCM should be carrying out an annual HS Risk Assessment. It is a legal requirement for every employer and self-employed person to make an assessment of the HS risks arising out of their work. The purpose of the assessment is to identify what needs to be done to control HS risks, Regulation 3 of the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999. The atrocities that took place in Vietnam fifty years ago have left physical and mental scars on the people that were afflicted by the war. Regardless of whether an individual was a civilian or a soldier, both experienced horrors. With over 1.3 million casualties, the war has stricken locals in Vietnam, to families across the United States. The majority of Vietnam s history has been a challenge for freedom, whether it was from the Chinese around 900 years AD or the French just after World War II. After Ho Chi Minh, a soon to be leader of Vietnam was tired of the Frenchman’s tyranny, declared war and launched attacks against the French in April of 1954. This was the start of the Vietnam war. Vietnamese emperors were powerless and French ruled them with tyranny. In 1890 Nguyen Tat Thanh was born. He was well educated and had aspirations of traveling the world. He started a petition to make Vietnam independant, unfortunately for him as a young 29-year-old no one in Versaille listened. After the defeat of Nazis during World War II the Soviet Union began to expand their dictatorship. This is when Nguyen Tat Thanh, now known as Ho Chi Minh took it to his advantage and allied with the Soviets by ultimately making Vietnam communist. By the end of the First Indochina War, Ho Chi Minh and his Viet Minh forces came out victorious against the French. However, due to France’s alliance with the United States, the U.S. was obligated to step in. Answer: It was seen in the report that the nurses in Australia do not have much access to the computing system. But they recognize the benefits of the usage of the computing system in the workplace. As a nursing student I will need the computers to help me to prepare for the college coursework and also to take notes. Moreover it will help me in the online teaching, and the computer based learning systems (Hegney, Buikstra and Eley, 2007). The computing system will help me learn the basics of nursing before going to the actual field. I will be able to share the information with my professors, peers and professionals. The hospitals now-a-days uses a computer program to impart teachings to the patients about the various diseases and disease management. The physicians also prescribe the treatments and medications on the computers (Improving Technological Competency in Nursing Students, 2015). The nurses use those for the care of the patients. The nurses may also order the medicines and check the supplies of the medicines. The nurses also use computers to communicate with the physicians about the care of the patients. Moreover the nurses use the computers to keep a record of the documents of the patients health, tests, and routine care. The computing technology can be used in mobile phones, or portable tablets that the nurses carry along with the clip board and the other paper documents. Thus the computing system will help me in getting a thorough knowledge of the coursework since it will help me in getting notes and learn about the ways as to how it will be beneficial in the practical field (Biglari, 2015).
